Full Moon Vineyard – Gladysdale – Upper Yarra – Yarra Valley.
Fresh cherry and poached strawberry are followed by brown spice, toast and floral aromatics. The palate runs from a lush inviting front to flavours of black tea and a light char. The vintage has produced a beautiful tannin balance and a long, fine finish.
We work with Simon Harte at the Full Moon Vineyard in the Upper Yarra Valley.
21 year old vines are grown on chocolate coloured volcanic soils on a gentle west facing slope in Gladysdale. This immaculate vineyard is tendered to like a garden.
It’s a marginal subregion for grape growing but with careful vineyard management these vines have produced pristine and powerful fruit.

Vintage
The 2021 growing season and harvest were a complete turnaround from the hardships of 2020.
It wasn’t without worries, as the return of the La Nina weather pattern brought back thoughts of 2011 and led to a wetter than average year. Thankfully, the rains were perfectly and evenly timed.
The mild season avoided major heat spikes and produced healthy canopies and strong vines that ripened plentiful fruit.
An exceptional vintage.
